La Farigoulette is a 5-star campsite in the Gorges du Verdon situated on the banks of the Verdon River in the South of France. Plus, there are castles and chateaus to see such as the Castle Museum of Tournon-sur-Rhône and Château de Crussol. The Ardèche region also has many historical locations to travel back in time like Devil’s Bridge and MuséAl. Some of the top places to visit in this area of France are the Pont d’Arc, the Mont Gerbier de Jonc, the Gorges de l’Ardeche and charming medieval stone villages like Saint Montan and Vogue. There are countless places to explore – from pretty villages to caves and chateaux, vineyards and even underground churches.Īu Fil de Soi Treehouse in France is in the Ardèche region which is known for stunning natural beauty and unique sites. Guests are encouraged to help with the animals, which include a dog, cats, horse, donkey, ducks and chickens. On the site, you can go bird watching and walk through the woods. There is a toilet room with a flushable toilet and three sleeping areas. It is complete with a sink and wood-fired stove for cooking and heating. You are greeted by a sofa and beautiful wooden dining furniture as you walk into the tent in the open plan living area. The canvas tents ooze rustic get away and have a cottage feel about them. It was once devoted to the organic breeding of laying hens and now focuses on wildlife and the ecology of the area. The farm is comprised of 20 hectares of woods, meadows and fields. La Grange Du Bost in Montagrier is an organic farm run that also provides glamping in the Dordogne. Not strictly camping but somewhere we have recently visited.
